I think it is a great idea to have a contest to decide what another great contest should be in the Rain! What I like most about being in the Rain is the relationships that I have developed over the years. A contest that I would enjoy seeing would be one that allows us to get to know each other even more on a personal level. I envision a contest where the entrant writes a short post about their personal lives and then answers questions posed by visitors to the post. Visitors to the post would ask the entrant a question that they would like to know and the entrant is required to answer all questions in order to receive points. Of course, there would have to be some discretion as to the appropriateness of posed questions, haha. Personally, I think this would be a great contest, as I myself want people to get to know me well and hopefully determine that I would be a great guy to refer their friends and family to for a real estate transaction.
I don't think it would matter what time of the year this contest were held and I think it would be both fun and educational. I wonder if most of you would also think this is fun or too much of an invasion of privacy. It does seem like we live in a world these days that everyone tries to hide anything personal. I miss the days when people were genuine and willing to be an open book. I still try to be and I enjoy being around others that do as well.
