Starbucks Coffee vs Gallon Of GasI see a lot of people complaining about gas prices even here on AR, but I guess I just don't worry about it. Now don't think it doesn't affect me, I drive a Ford Expedition and fill up about every 3 days. So I definitely pay the price.

I don't see a reason to get high blood pressure worrying about something I have no control over though. I could buy one of those Hybrids for $40,000 to $60,000 but I really like my big Expedition and for that much money I can buy what? 400 to 700 tanks of gas, I think I'll stick to driving what I like.

One more thought. If you are like me you probably hit your favorite coffee shop on a daily basis, whether it's Starbucks or something similar.

Anyone willing to pay $5 for a cup of joe doesn't have any business complaining about $5 for a whole gallon of gas that has to go through a lot more expense and processing than a little cup of coffee.

Funny, the people that I hear complaining about gas prices in our depressed area haven't had disposable income for quite a while to indulge in $5 cups of Joe.   They've been trying to make ends meet for a long time.  The gas prices are one more depressing area and they are having to juggle food, medicine and basic necessities to manage.

I do not drink coffee nor do I like paying high prices for gas. I am however lucky as my car is OK and the commutes in my area are not like some. They can always drill for more oil or begin to change the source of power.

I do drink coffee, but not eight cups of it when I'm driving clients around.  The impact of gas prices climbing can be significant.  I have a house that we are putting on the market currently that is around 40 miles away from my office.  I typically check on my vacant listings once a week minimum but I have told them this won't be happening with their house.  80 extra miles a week would end up being 4 gallons of gas each week.  The house has expected days on the market of 180 days plus.  I would rather spend my resources marketing the house than driving out there to check on it.

So as an American living in this country we shouldn`t have a problem with the current situation, is that right?!

The fact that we`re being lied to by a president who`s involved with a VP pocketing money hand over foot isn`t a cause for alarm?

WEll I dont buy coffee even on a monthly basis so I guess I have the right to complain. It's ridiculous the price of gas and I dont like it. I dont have much of a choice though in my choosen line of work. I do what I can to use my two feet when not with clients.

I don't pay much attention to the price per gallon of gas anymore. I need it and it's a must to get around in my not so cost effecient (11-12 miles/gallon) truck. Yeah I do recognize that gas prices are up, but what can you do about it.

Don't you think excessive fuel consumption is damaging our national security, causing climate change and depleting a finite resource.

What will you do when fuel is no longer affordable or available for you???

Better think ahead, I love my Chevy Tahoe but it stays parked and is used only as needed. I'll drive my hybrid whenever I can...with my calculations for my anual miles it will pay for it'self over the Tahoe when fuel it's $6.00 a gallon besides...why waist any resource?

BTW: figuring the goverment incentive when purchased, it only cost me 20K
