Some lake home buyers want a private lake because they like the thought of only lake home owners, their friends, and family being on the lake. They like the fact that no Tom, Dick, or Harry can come on the lake and ruin the lake or their fun. Oxbow Lake in White Lake is a private all sports lake that is big enough for any water sports enthusiast.

There is a little bar on the lake that only serves drinks which is a little bonus to any lake home owner. It's not a fancy bar, but the beer is cold and they make a good drink. Every winter I see many ice fishermen out on the lake so it must be decent fishing on the lake. The north end of the lake runs along M-59 and the south end homes sit on Elizabeth Lake Road. The lake is 270 acres in sizes and is 72 feet deep in the deepest spot.

There is a natural reed area that separates a small portion of the lake on the north side. There is also a large bay on the south end of the lake. There are both small and large homes on Oxbow Lakes. On the northwest side you will find some small cottage style homes, and on the west side and in the bay you can find some big beautiful brick colonial and contemporary homes. The lake bottom on the lake varies on where you live on the lake. Some of the lake bottom is sandy and some is mucky.
