I have the misfortune of being used by the worst company in the world for some six years. That company is Spectrum or whatever else they have called themselves. I would rather be without cable, computer and telephone than to have to deal them any longer. The only thing they do consistently and with aplomb is distract, misrepresent, and "drop calls." 

Yes this is a rant but I maybe gone awhile given I plan to terminated my service so I wanted everyone to know why. The only redress I have is here and on other social media because as a corporate culture they are taught to delay and pronounce that you matter, when in fact they really don't care about relationships because of their monopoly. 

Today has been quite the day. I started calling due to lack of service at 7:30AM. When at 8 I finally spoke to someone the dance of danger began. "Oh we'll have to get someone out there today, because we can't fix it from here." They never call back, have other departments that they can't contact directly, and blow you off without thought. I AM SO DONE.

Please tell everyone you know that Spectrum is the most despicable and unresponsive company doing business in the United States. Specifics never matter and certainly don't matter to Spectrum but I hope they are bombarded with thousands of folks saying bye, bye.

I think "service" by telecom companies is one of the most experienced disappointments among consumers in this country.

I know of many stories of disappointment, frustration and outrage over poor customer service from TV, phone and internet providers.  I have experienced it myself.  I stopped trying to get the "best deal" and went with a local provider that is awesome with customer service.  They aren't that much more expensive and they save me money by not needing sedatives and alcohol to control my disappointment and frustration.

I had to come back to share with you, Sheila, my experience from last night. As you know, I have Spectrum in Hawaii, Consolidated in Sacramento. About 7 PM, I turned on TV, exited Netflix and experienced snow. Since I could get Netflix, I figured service was good. So I called Spectrum, not expecting much. However, within 30 seconds, after answering 2 questions, I was connected to a cheery service representative.

I explained I really do not know how to work my TV but I know by rote what to do to get to the TV and Netflix and my DVR. In other words, pretty clueless but managing to operate. I knew enough to figure it was a button on my remote. She was very kind and patient and walked me through the video input selection. At 7 PM at night. 2,500 miles away from anybody.
