How to Mix Concrete: Part 1 (actually this is about video marketing!)

Ok, folks, I know this may be tough to go through but I hope you will bear with me.  Yes, there is more important stuff to talk about than mixing concrete and I am about to tell you a snippet of wisdom here.

No, this is not about concrete at all!!
I just wanted to see who were my loyal blog followers and who just simply passed this blog by!!  (You know who you are).

So this three or four-part blog will NOT be about mixing concrete but about online marketing.

I just want you to know first that I am not a computer wizard and you don't need to be one either.

It took me a LONG time to warm up to computers.  I also hate reading manuals of any kind.  If something is not intuitive I know I will hate it.

First: a bucolic scene from Maitland for those who are still with me:

So...

First I have to give credit to where credit is due.

Being on AR for about 6 weeks or so, I have read some great stuff here about marketing.  Things probably that I wouldn't have understood or come to realize for a long time.  Some very useful information! And I just used some of that and this is what this blog is about.

Again, kudos to Barbara TodaroDebbie GartnerRon and Alexandra Seigel, (plus several others) and Kathy Streib for keeping me alive here.

So for those of you who might have followed some of the discussion on creating marketing videos of your homes online.

I am completely hooked on www.animoto.com.  No, I am not getting residuals for recommending them.

I think Barbara mentioned this site and I have bought into the yearly subscription of $240 or so to take advantage of their intuitive video design format.  It is amazing.

I have created three videos so far and have had 150 to 200 views in two days time.  I will follow up to report on any positive leads and contracts.

Each video took about an hour to put together using their preformatted templates.  I had the drawings and photos already in my files and simply had to decide format and music, and a short script.

These are typically 30 seconds or so and can run up to one minute even.

In the next "How to Mix Concrete: Part 2" I will share how easy Animoto is to use and some suggestions on how to get 'er done quickly and then how to post on YouTube.

Here are the three videos I have developed so far for you to see three different formatting options.  There are two templates already developed for real estate listings.

John Henry I was not able to get any of the links you posted to YouTube to work. Maybe it's me.

But, if you want to improve the look of your blog posts try "embedding" the YouTube videos.

I wrote a blog post here on AR on how to do it. Take a look and see if it helps.

How to embed a youtube video in your blog post

You will see some examples in my blog Soundtrack of a Lifetime
