I Stand Corrected! It's Winter that's Here

OK, yesterday's post was a little bit premature!

This morning, Washington, DC woke up to it's first snow of the season - and probably the earliest in the decades that I've lived here.   And it's really cold outside - Willie the Labradoodle lasted just long enough to do his thing in the back yard before scratching to get back inside.  Can't say I blame him!

Is this a harbinger of things to come?  I wonder! Can't wait to see what January brings!

Looks like everybody is getting snow. Brrr. Even my sister got dumped on in Minneapolis, snow everywhere. As a person who does not like snow, I know, I'm a weirdo, I'm looking forward to warm, balmy tropical breezes and nary a thought about where I may have put a coat.

Any moisture, rain or snow, would be so welcomed here in California. IF we're lucky, we MIGHT have a bit of rain next Wednesday!  That's not much help to the firefighters battling wild fired.

Elizabeth, people who live in Minnesota can reasonably expect snow in November. But we're far enough south to think it won't come in time for a white Christmas!

I am currently at our home in Florida with a night temperature of 77. Life is good without snow for me although I know plenty of people who love snow.

Well you seemed to have had a short fall! It seems there are cold snaps throughout the country and many corners have already had their first snow. I'm hoping it stays in the mountains (up at the ski hill) for a bit longer. That way the skiers are happy and I don't have to drive in it so I am happy too!

I suspect it won't be long before those beautiful golden leaves make leave from their branches.

Morning Patricia.

We've already had our first dusting.  High today around the mid 50's.  Almost all the leaves are gone, lawn mowers are put away for the rest of the year.

Good morning Pat. My pups are not big fans of the snow either. Great photo.

I always loved the first snow of the year when I lived in the Midwest. Now I get to enjoy sunny, warm weather year round. Have a great Thanksgiving.
