I live in a lovely area with three seasons: spring, summer and winter. Winter came earlier than unusual this year and many of the critters were surprised and perhaps a bit unprepared. This little birdie seems to have handled it pretty well but it is difficult. The lattice under my deck is active and the number of birds and others increases daily. Tomorrow the leaves will be cleared I hope and then let it snow.

Hummingbirds are the only birds I "feed" in summer because I have a lot of nature to feed the others, but from first frost to spring I have full feeders for those here and those passing through.
