Essential oils have been around for thousands of years, but in America, we are just now waking up to how they can be used to help us. Whether it's Valentine's Day, a special weekend away or just a regular day, essential oils can make a great special gift. Let's face it, essential oils are unique and many people really like them.
Here are some great ways to use essential oils for Valentine's Day Romance:
Massage Oil - Massage therapists are great but any spouse or partner can apply oils and gently rub the back or any sore spots even if it's not a full massage. Essential oils can really enhance any touch to the skin. Get some good carrier oil like grapeseed oil and add your favorite essential oils and apply to your partner's skin.
Make sure you use Young Living oils though because most other oils are not pure and probably have chemicals or solvents added to them. They add the chemicals and solvents at the time of distilling the oils so they will not show on the label. The label also doesn't show whether pesticides were used during the growing process. No one wants to risk their partner's health by applying chemicals to them. Get the pure stuff! If you don't know what oils to use Young Living has 5 massage oil blends already made up for you whether you're looking for sensation, muscle help, or relaxation.
In the Bedroom - Some favorite oils to use in the bedroom include cypress, orange, ylang-ylang, Idaho Blue Spruce, Purification (a Young Living blend), and Sensation (a Young Living blend. These can be applied on location or diffused in an essential oil diffuser. This is just a small sample of the oils you could use. I recommend reading the book on this subject if you want more information.
Roller Ball Blends - These make great gifts! Essential oils can be mixed with a carrier oil and poured into 5ml or 10ml glass bottles that have a roller ball on the top. You can make your own blends depending on what your partner likes or you can just get the ready-made Young Living blends that cover relaxation, sensation, muscles, and stress relief.
Bath Salts - Some people really enjoy a relaxing bath and essential oils can enhance this too. Just take 4 cups of Epsom salt and add 15 drops of a single essential oil or essential oil blend and mix. Add to a nice glass jar and your partner will think of you each time they add 1/4-1/2 of the mix to their bath.
Add to Lotion - Another way to gift essential oils for Valentine's day is to get some good unscented organic lotion and add a favorite essential oil to it. This is a nice custom gift that your partner can't find in any store made just for them by you.
As a Perfume/Cologne - There are many blends and recipes out there to use essential oils as a perfume/cologne. Here again, you can make up the scents yourself that your partner would like or buy them already made from Young Living. You won't find these in any store!
Some favorite blend scents include Joy, Stress Away, Peace and Calming, and Valor (all Young Living blends). Single oils that are good for perfume/cologne include lavender, lemon, orange, Idaho Blue Spruce, Rose, Jasmine, Bergamot, and Ylang Ylang. There are many others that can be used depending on which scents you like best.
I hope this list has helped you see how essential oils can help enhance your Valentine's Day this year. Use essential oils all year round to improve your life in all areas including romance.
