Even though we are locally seeing the lowest levels of foreclosures since its peak in 2010. Bank owned properties will always be part of our real estate inventory where the potential to purchase a home as a TLC or as a fixer will offer us a nice opportunity to create our own dream home.
 
At the end of 2018, there was an increase in the "Notice of Defaults" being recorded with the county across the country.  The "Noice of Default" is the first step a lender will take in starting the foreclosure process when a homeowner missing making their mortgage payment.  The following are the top 20 counties with the most foreclosures starts, as of January 2019:

10) Philadelphia, Pa. 280

11) Riverside, Calif. 273

12) Clark, Nev. 262

13) Cuyahoga, Ohio 259

14) San Bernardino, Calif. 257

15) Palm Beach, Fla. 230

16) Duval, Fla. 209

17) San Diego, Calif. 207
