It's truly Spring now (the calendar says so).
Spring's energy often creates a desire for action in real estate in secondary home regions.
Salt Spring and the Gulf Islands are such discretionary/recreational choices...April to October are the months seen as the main season on the Pacific Northwest Coast...if a buyer wants to enjoy a property for the summer, then the buyer pretty well has to purchase now.
From now to end of April one enjoys the flowering forward of Spring...late March shows the froth of buds slowly greening on shrubs and deciduous trees...early April welcomes blossoms in orchards, Spring flowers in gardens...late April is about fullness of the natural world, trees leaved out, bushes fluffed out fully, early veggies in gardens...and everything still with that appealing fresh green hue...an amazing variety of green tones.
A Canadian poet, W.H. Davies, always sums up for me the splendour of this time of year:
"A poor life this, if full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare."
