Noble's Pond Tour, Dover, Delaware
Chef Dolores and I have been exploring some communities as we consider our options for a retirement residence location. We accepted an invitation to visit Noble's Pond a age 55+ community located in the Kent County suburbs on the north side of Dover, Delaware. Our visit included a private tour of the historic sections of Delaware. The tour guide was a long time resident of Noble's Pond. Then, Rebecca Allicock, a housing consultant with Noble's Pond gave us a tour of the model homes.
We were impressed by the floor plans of the available models and the flexibility to modify the plans as desired. The residents have a full schedule of activities. We stayed at the nearby Holiday Inn Express.
As you might know, very low real estate taxes and the absence of sales taxes are among the benefits of living in Delaware.
By the way, the Dover area is a great place to visit. Dover is about 45 minutes south of Wilmington, Delaware.
