Wanted: Great ideas for greening my office

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with !Daley Real Estate

Well, I am looking to help my office go "greener". I need things that are cost effective and simple for people (i.e. anyone in my office) to implement. What would be your suggestions? How do I get the most bang for the buck?

I will let you know how it goes.......

Until next time,

Kelly

I would start greening your office, with some plants and flowers -- It is spring and it nice to see all the colorful plants and flowers of the season!

Free going green idea... get all those free bee coffee mugs from lenders inspectors home builders etc ... put up a peg board with up hooks hang those cups the lock up all the paper cups.

Heck a fun idea would be to put each office person picture next to a cup hook and each person could have a my favorite cup club...

Love the lock up the paper cup idea! Also, use gallons of water or a water cooler...or tap water! Get rid of the individual bottled water!

How about using products made from recycled materials whenever possible.  And recycle everything that you can -  soda cans, plastic bottles, ink and toner cartridges.....      Our local Public Safety Department collects soda cans to raise money to help burn victims, etc...  Maybe you could even start something up like that in your community - and get everyone involved :)

How about encouraging recycling in the office and changes all of your bulbs to florescents. You could also collect rain water to use on the plants.

Kelly:  In my office we teamed up with the Fort Rucker PTA and they recycle our ink and toner cartridges as a fun raiser.  We are doing a part being an eco-friendly office and helping the local Fort Rucker School raise money.
