Feng Shui, Home Staging, What you can do to sell a home in this market!

What does it take to sell a home in todays market?  Sellers are lowering their prices so much and offering incentives never before heard of to sell a home.  As a Feng Shui Consultant for the last decade, I have been working with Real Estate Agents who have some knowledge and understanding of Feng Shui for their clients that are interested and as a marketing tool.  We have been using home staging (to allow the energy to flow), Curb Appeal (as we view the front door and the path leading up to it as the "Mouth of Chi" and many other things you do as Agents, we just view them with a different perspective.

Which leads me to the subject of perspectives.  Having spoken at a number of Agencies in the past and then at LIBOR, I have heard so many stories that agents are loath to work with Feng Shui Consultants; they have all had or heard of an experience where a consultant that was called in deterred the sale of a home, telling a prospective buyer it had "negative" Feng Shui.  My name is Carole Provenzale, Owner of Feng Shui Long Island and I have been Certified in this art for over a decade.  In our training, we were fortunate enough to have mentors who taught us how to incorporate Western methods as well as Black Sect, Compass, and the wonderful Transendental Blessings.  This enables us to view Feng Shui from a positive perspective and we never deter the sale of a home.

There is nothing that can be "harmful" in Feng Shui.  Since the premise behind any changes you are making is doing it with the INTENTION of what you want to create (Anyone seen The Secret?  We knew this :), we don't view things from a negative perspective.  An example of perspective:  There is a fireplace in the Wealth area of a home.  One practitioner might view this as money "going up and out the chute."  Another might view this in a positive perspective, as RED enlivens and stimulates, your money will GROW and you will prosper.

What does this mean to Realtors?  With the diverse market, more and more clients have an interest and belief in Feng Shui then ever before.  It would give you an edge to have one as well.  Your buyers will have more confidence in working with you and it will give you another perspective to show client's a home as well. Another misconception about Feng Shui is that it is costly.  It isn't.  A consultation can start at $200, a small price to pay to sell a home.  And having confidence in your consultant that they can show your buyers a perspective on how a home will "support" them in what they wish to create in their lives.

The new bestseller "Your life was Never meant to be a Struggle" is a good way to view things.  Selling a home wasn't meant to be, either.
