Congratulations Coeur d'Alene Charter Academy for taking the top spot for best high school in Idaho according to US News and World Report. This study is a yearly report project in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Education’s National Center for Education Statistics and RTI International, the nonprofit research firm.
The report evaluated 23,000 schools nationwide. They based their results on how well the schools prepared students towards sucess in collage. These factors include;
- Advanced Placement opportunities
- Test scores
- State-required tests and assesments
- Graduation rates.
“Our school has this college prep mission,” Principal Dan Nicklay told The Press. “Everything we do is geared toward success in post-secondary education … We believe in homework. When kids go off to college, they’ll have to work independently at home. Our kids come out of here knowing how to budget their time and work independently. Our kids are college-ready from the get-go.”
Overall, Coeur d'Alene schools ranked 56th our of 234th overall nationwide.
