Looking Back What a Difference a Decade Makes in RE
This was tough-how to choose only 10 changes over the past decade. But here goes.
-My husband's heart attacks, strokes and surgeries. Each time, these shocking physical events stopped me in my tracks. Although it's been challenging financially, I've cut back a lot on how much time I invest in busienss.
-My own aging body and physical pains. Getting old ain't for sissies. I now have to devote significant chunks of time into stretches, walks and other tasks just to get out of bed and be functional daily.
-Moved from Keller Williams Cupertino "back home" to my more family friendly brokerage of Altas Realty. It just feels right.
-Gave up having an outside office. This was probably one of the harder things to do. I'm still consolidating.
-Learning how to do things "my way". Even though my Mom passed in 2005, I'm still learning to do things my way, not her way.
-Stopped buying my own leads back from Zillow.
-Stopped buying my own leads back from Realtor.com
-Stopped buying my own leads back from Trulia.
-Stopped buying my own leads back from all other websites and apps, etc.
-Rebuilding my website. This is so painful. I had built a great site with tons (10 years plus worth) of content, but the technology had changed. I'm still working on this one.
