I had 2 closings yesterday, and an inspection.

Yesterday I had a closing in the morning, and Henry went along. I am not fond of going to closings. The closing in the morning I represented the Buyer of the land and I will represent the builder once the new construction is ready for sale. In the afternoon I represented a For Sale By Owner and will Represent the seller once the home is ready to list for sale. There is a lot for the new owner to do before then. 

Later in the day, I had an inspection for new construction. I am sent out to this building site approx. every 2 weeks for an inspection. These are inspections that allow the builders to get their draw.

Gwen, You did have a varity of things going on yesterday!  I love the closing process, going over the settlement statement and the whole title process.  One of my favorite parts of real estate.

It is my least favorite part of the process. I wait for something bad to happen "the next shoe to drop". You would think "picking up a check and being all smiles" was great, but not for me.

We had two closings this week too. And, we are both very relieved to be through them. Normally, we love all aspects of the transaction, including closing day. However, this time, Bernie accompanied them..we represented them in a house purchase- and in their new home purchse - the wife is a very dramatic person. Unnecessary drama. After 5 months of her hysteria, I just couldn't handle it...although Bernie tells me she was actually quiet and respectful at both signings...weird.
