So I spent the first part of this week talking to agents in different market centers about joining a really fun contest that tracks your calls, emails and mailings. I can hear the groan right now - accountability...argggg.
The thing that shocked me to my toes is that there are LOTS of realtors out there who do not track their numbers. Number of calls, number of listings, number of sales to number of listings, etc.
If you do not keep track you never succeed - now I am not saying you can't be a great and successful realtor without keeping track BUT it makes it harder to "SUCCEED".
When you are having a TERRIBLE week, when your closings are falling apart and sellers tell you they are going to take it off the market for a little bit and the buyer you have been working with for 4 months decides on a house and puts in a LOWBALL offer that is not justified, you have to have a way to succeed!
If you plan on making 100 phone calls in a month and you make 25 the first week - you succeeded! If you say you will send an email to your database once a month and you DO IT - you succeeded! If you send a mailing - you succeeded!
So why not take a stand! Say you are going to stay in contact with your clients, past clients, prospects, friends and family. Say how many calls you will make and DO IT! It is really easy to make excuses about why you cannot commit to making your business better but they are all just excuses.
Make yourself some goals and succeed!
