Special offer

The welcome

By
Real Estate Agent with Austin Texas Homes

Every Home has a welcome, some more welcome than others. As you drive up for the first time to a home it offers its first impression, it's welcome. If your home is for sale, the last thing you want your home to say is...GO AWAY!

Take a look at the entry point of your home. The appeal from the curb to the front door. What message is your home sending? Many years ago when we lived in Phoenix, I would pass by a home on my way to work that had excellent curb appeal. It was so welcoming and inviting that I often felt as if the family living there were my friends. The message the home conveyed was "You are welcome here anytime".  It was clean, green, color filled with beautiful flowers, a lovely stone path led you to the front door.

Before you put up the for sale sign take a good long look at the welcome your home is conveying.

Very well put Alan Kirkpatrick .  This might be good info. to put into a listing package or something like it.  Sellers get blind to what their home looks like without having them look at competition or visualize their home from the buyers' point of view.

Good morning Alan. This is poignant and on the money as well. Usually curb appeal is the last thing people think about but it should be the first.
