A future Ft. Lauderdale Home Buyer contacted me in December of last year regarding his relocation plans and assistance with his home search. We are still communicating and he mentioned that he will be selling one or both of two Homes before relocating here.

I love learning about new places and I wanted to provide detailed information for the blog post, so I spent a couple of hours online reading about Nicaragua and researching additional information about San Juan del Sur and found the following:
- San Juan del Sur is one of Nicaragua's premier tourism destinations
- San Juan del Sur is located on the Southern coast of Nicaragua just North of Costa Rica (67 miles from Guanacaste, Costa Rica). I enjoyed a GREAT trip to Costa Rica (Quepos, Jaco, and Manuel Antonio) in October, 2005 and wondered about the proximity of San Juan del Sur from Costa Rica
- San Juan del Sur is located 152 miles from San Jose, Costa Rica
(I flew into San Jose for my Costa Rica trip) - If you're planning to fly to San Juan del Sur, the closest Airport is Managua, which is Nicaragua's Capital. The Airport Code is "MGA"
- A Flight to Managua is ~6 hours from Ft. Lauderdale.
- San Juan del Sur is ~a 2-hr. drive South of the Managua Airport
- San Juan del Sur's Timezone is Universal, so they are 2 hours behind South Florida (Eastern Time)
