Today I am taking Chico to see the Veterinarian for a follow up. i am not hopeful because I have observed the growth on his lower jaw grow. On Thursday I have an appointment with an oncologist at a specialty hospital about an hour and some away. Chico is my youngest rescue and at only five I am not ready to deal with his possible demise. So today I will do what I need to and Thursday I will know more and make plans accordingly. Please continue to keep him in your prayers.
Hi Sheila... I am so, so sorry to hear this news about Chico. Always hard to lose a pet but doubly hard when they are young. (And I know that from first-hand experience.) Keeping you all in my thoughts.

Hello Nina. I take Chico to an oncologist on Thursday and if surgery is an option that makes sense I will try it. TY so much. Sheila

Thanks Alexandra. I wish I could make the time till a surgery fly but alas it isn't possible so one day at a time. Sheila
Sheila- you're doing all that you can and we're all sending prayers your way for Chico. Stay positive.
I'm hoping the oncologist has good news, and Chico is treatable. It's hard dealing with these kinds of things during the holidays.

Thanks Grant. I believe he will need to have some of his chin removed but we'll see. TY Sheila
Sheila, best of luck at the vet. It is so difficult with our pets. I brought Mia with me on this trip, as she needs hydration every few days, and she hates the vet. Cannot take her to a kennel anymore, they do not perform any medical procedures.
