What is the most significant task you can perform today?

We all have mental and written lists.

Our 'things to do' overwhelms us.

Especially for a small one-person outfit.

There is much to do.

And what happens is the 'stuff' needing to be done is overwhelming.

You probably dread going through the list.

But gnawing within you -- and you know what that is --are one or two things that would make a difference, perhaps a significant one, to your business.

But you keep worrying about the small details than attack the main issue.  Or the one you know needs to be done.

In fact day after day you go through the shlumpf stuff and leave that important thing to do undone.  Over and over again.

Do not procrastinate by addressing the smaller insignificant tasks.

GO FOR THE BIG ONE

So

TODAY: purpose in your mind that you WILL address that ONE SIGNIFICANT move that is more important, more urgent, most rewarding in the short and long term.

Do not put it off.

DO IT NOW.

and then repeat tomorrow!!

Thanks, Michael Jacobs   Wondering what could have been if we hadn't acted is a crying shame.  You never know why you weren't a contender if you don't put in that effort.

Hello Hannah Williams I like your analogy!  Start big first though!  Thanks

Done!

My mom, may she rest in peace, always had me finish my chores before play, and my vegetables before desert.    Same discipline, really...

EAT THAT FROG is a best selling book about overcoming procrastination.

Tackle the most daunting, off-putting task first. Get it out of the way. The rest of the list will practically take care of itself.

With extra time available these days...it's very easy to put off tasks, thinking you have 'plenty of time' to get stuff done.  I do it!  However, I do like to keep busy so really don't procrasinate that much.  Inspirational post!

Do it! If I can do something in 5 minutes or less I generally do it right away. Right now I'm prospecting. Fun!
