CoreLogic...yes I said it...CoreLogic...I am calling you out!!
For those of you who sell properties in the flood zones or near flood zones...are you well versed on how to find any Flood Zone or Map or LOMC (Letter of Map Change) updates to the Property you are selling?
It is also commonly known as the LOMA ...Letter of Map Amendment
Well...if you are relying on CoreLogic...good luck. I hope you do NOT get the person who we had.
I have a client who is selling a nice home that has a certified LOMA showing it is above the flood zone. I provided it to the Buyer agent and their Lender. Lender would not accept it because it did not come from CoreLogic.
Wonder where I got it? Off of the FEMA website. The place where CoreLogic should have looked before they checked NO on the question of any map change.
CoreLogic should have #3 Checked Yes and the new date attached. They incorrectly checked NO.
#3 Should be checked Yes and the date of June 30, 2020 should be added. The date the LOMA was added to the FEMA system.
The following is how they did the form. Totally incorrect.
This cost the seller $600 extra to prove I was right and CoreLogic was wrong.
If you are wondering where you go to find the Amendments to a particular flood zone...go to https://msc.fema.gov/portal/search?#searchresultsanchor
You may have to go through the AMendments to see if the property you are searching is there. Something CoreLogic did not do. CoreLogic...you owe my client $600. How many other have you screwed up around the USA?
CoreLogic...I am calling you out...are you man enough to answer?
