We've all heard people say it. "You have your truth, I have my truth," as if polar opposite positions are somehow simultaneously in agreement with the actual Truth.
Another name for that way of thinking is called, "Relative truth," popularly expressed verbally as, "It's all relative." (Which is usually code for my truth is the real truth, and yours isn't.)
Just for fun, next time someone tells you, "You have your truth, I have my truth," just say, "No you're wrong." If they're really being honest, then they have to respect your position because your truth is that they're wrong.
So if they really believe all truth is relative, then they have to say, "You're right to hold that I'm wrong, otherwise I'm wrong to hold that I'm right."
The reality is that either both positions are true (in which case there would be agreement), or one is untrue, or we both hold an untrue position.
Here's my point: there is no, "relative truth." Regardless of whether anyone wants to believe in it, there truly is Truth.
The wise will tirelessly seek it, find it, and align their position with it.
The question is, where does one find the Truth?
Proverbs 23:23 is a great place to start.
Have a blessed day.
