The perfect time to buy a home is always five years ago.
I am guilty of not being smart about certain things. I regret canceling a vacation last year because I was too busy at work. I should have planned ahead and gone on my trip. Now is the time to admit my guilt.
I get questioned everyday about when is the best time to purchase or sell a house. It is always a good time.
This is a hard answer to defend if you think you can wait on a market dip to "take advantage" of a slump.
WRONG
The real estate market is a complex animal. Supply and demand, price, condition, location all play a big part of this huge moving machine.
A slump in market/real estate prices will always be tied to a rise n interest rates so you may get a historic low for a home in a particular subdivision or area but you probably are going to pay more on a monthly basis for the home. Additionally, a home that is being sold by distressed owners probably have not been doing the routine maintenance and definitely any improvements on the home so it might not be the best deal even if you are paying a lower price.
You don’t have to wait for the perfect time to live your best today. What’s one thing you can do now, that doesn’t have to wait for tomorrow?
