Hi Steve. Reported news is sometimes contorted to be negative. An example would be the report titled, "Widespread House Price Declines in Fourth Quarter" when the data in the report actually shows that 40 of 50 states had price APPRECIATION in 2007.
This kind of reporting is antagonistic to real estate when it could be encouraging. The author of the report, or the places it is used can be noted in this group and members can go and comment or email the author to encourage a different perspective. Zil lo w does this with negative comments about them - the word goes out and positive z comments get placed to over come (or overwhelm) the negative. Lets do it for real estate.
Blogs are fine if they are about market conditions, but experiences with customers or deals are probably better handled in other groups.

I know we have had mostly negative news over the past couple of years. However, I see things slowly getting better at least here in AZ. It would be nice to see a place where a positive interpretation of a given set of data can be presented. It seems as you said that no matter what the numbers say, most news sorces put a negative spin on.

What an interesting idea and I have to say I'm in, way to often we see things that could have been reported positive but were reported negatively because it sounds better in a sound bite on the six o'clock news.
