Thankfully, 2020 is so day before yesterday!
Time continues to march on despite any/all efforts to slow it. 2020 may be an exception for most. When recalling last year, numerous thoughts come to mind, so will put a positive spin on some situations.
Business ground to a halt with the announced shut down of the country. Being a get up and go type personality, it was difficult for me to stay home, abruptly changing directions.
I decided to go with it and...
- I slowly learned to be still, to appreciate simple things again.
- I pulled weeds while watching butterflies flitting about the garden.
- I listened to the birds happily relaying songs to feathered friends.
Though tested more than once through the year, my heart felt the for adverse life events that many people were facing. I am blessed beyond boundaries with a most resilient faith, in knowing.
Rather than allow depression to take me down...
- Every day on social media, I made an effort to be positive to lift others.
- I phoned past clients to ask how they were and if I could be of help.
- I sent out a personally designed card w/mask to my sphere of influence.
Last year has already become part the past where it will eventually remain, though measured. Family is still the most important and treasured aspect of my life, that will never waver.
Instead of face-to-face meetings, adjusting was necessary...
- I wept when my children moved away, taking our 3 year old Gbaby girl.
- Even though geographically separated, we connect often on Face-time.
- The commitment to loving unconditionally remains stronger than ever.
2020 taught me the importance of keeping engaged, staying in good communication, creating teaching moments and be open to learning as well. To be steadfastly hopeful through faith.
And it's now time to look forward in hindsight to TwentyTwentyWandaful. Ready or not, here WE GO!
