An Organization Tip

By
Real Estate Agent with Century 21 Redwood Realty License # 0225028579

Last month, I sent out the mailing entitled "Keep it Simple"  Standard

I decided to team up with a Janet Schiesl who owns a company called Basic Organization.  Unlike a stager, she helps you organize things so that you can find them when you need them.  And for some of our sellers, her services may be the first line of defense in getting a home ready for sale.

ANYWAY....she recently sent out a email newsletter with a helpful hint that I thought I would share.  She recommended using a Shoe Organizer that hangs over the back of the door to organize your office and help clean off your desk.

I tried it....and I like it.  I put my notecards in there (yes, I'm the one whose cards multiply when I'm not looking), Oh by the Way stickers, business cards...all sorts of stuff.

And...she's now part of my business directory.

It's a Good Life!! Get out there and enjoy it!

I don't have a shoe organizer anywhere, but I heard it is good to organize bathroom stuff & baby stuff as well.

Thanks for the office tip!

Great Idea Nancy -  I'm going to borrow that tip as well as looking into a Professional Organizer for my own Business Referral Directory.  Thanks for sharing.

In getting a home ready for sale I have had to use an organizer several times. It seems silly 9telling someone how to get their house ready...what to do next, etc) but it was a valuable service and in one case made a difference in sales price of about $50K... for a $500 fee.

Nancy:  I could use an organizational expert just about any day of the week.  Mondays are the worst.  Like the idea of the over the door shoe organizer.

Nancy~  I just love the idea of using a over the door shoe holder for storing things off of your desk!  Thanks for sharing your friend's idea!

Another space-saving tip with a shoe rack connection... I have been preaching using those "shoe cabinets", that Ikea sells, for narrow spaces where a regular cabinet or shelf would be too big - they are great ways to use narrow space effectively.  I have one in my front hall for workout gear, mitts and scarves, and hiking supplies - grab and go!!

Nancy: Great idea. I use my shoe organizer on the back of the pantry door for those small things like gravy mixes and jello boxes
