On August 2, 2021, the U.S. Census Bureau reported nationwide construction spending higher 0.1% to $1,552.2 billion in June of 2020 from $1,551.2 billion May of 2021, and rose 8.2% from $1,435.0 billion in June of 2020.
Nationwide private construction up 0.4% to $1,215.2 billion in June of 2021 from $1,210.3 billion in May of 2021.
Residential construction increased 1.1% of $763.4 billion in June of 2021 from $755.4 billion May of 2021.
Non residential construction lower 0.7% to $451.8 billion in June of 2021 from $454.9 billion in May of 2021.
The public construction decreased 1.2% to $337.0 billion in June of 2021 from $340.9 billion in May of 2021.
The educational construction declined 0.8% to $81.3 billion in June of 2021 from $82.0 billion in May of 2021.
The highway construction dropped 5.3% to $92.4 billion in June of 2021 from $97.5 billion in May of 2021.
