The Boys of Summer return to Corbett Field

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Ward County Notary Services 607851

There is still plenty of snow on the ground BUT thanks to artificial turf and a dedicated snow removal team The Boys of Summer will be returning to Corbett Field in Minot tomorrow, March 16th, for the first time in 2022.

This will just be a Minot State University (Beavers) practice but for all the baseball junkies in the community it will be a celebration of the new season.

Living across the street from Corbett Field I am looking forward to seeing this scene once again.

While the thought of a crowd right across the street from your house, the cheers, the crack of a bat, and crowded street parking, I love it! It means Winter has been banished.

Sure, Old Man Winter won't give up easily but for the next 7 months or so I am going to enjoy the company of The Boys of Summer.

I don't take in very many games a year but I just love having the ballpark across the street Ron and Alexandra Seigel . The one and only thing I don't like is that some people figure it's just fine to park across your driveway while they go watch a game.

In the past during Easter recess I saw college kids coming from all over the country looking for some fun along Pacific Coast Highway( highway 1).  During the pandemic all state beaches were closed. I wonder how it will turn out this year?

I am guessing that you will see crowds like you have never seen before Sam Shueh . I believe the young adults are more fed-up then anyone over the government overreach that has kept them cooped up for two years.

Hello Bob,  I can remember baseball starting March 1 in my high school years and some days it be to cold we had to have practice in the gym.

Until they installed the artificial turf at Corbett Field a few years ago Minot never got to see the college team play a game at home Will Hamm . While I would not want to be one of the boys on the field when the temp is freezing and a stiff wind is blowing I am glad I can sit in the stands covered in blankets.

I agree Raymond Henson, eXp Realty . Winter (as always) is way to long up North here but when I here either the ping or crack of a bat it makes hope spring eternal. 😄

Hi Bob... just another sign that spring will be here before long even if the temperatures don't show it just yet!

Hi Nina Hollander, Broker my love. There is only one thing I do not like about spring... it's a time for lovers and YOU are 1661 miles away 🤩.

Exactly Myrl Jeffcoat . Many of the games at Corbitt Field are free but even when there is a gate fee it's pretty minimal for a couple hours of relaxation.

Hi Bob- this reminds me of going to some of the exhibition games when we lived in Delray Beach. I am happy that things are finally returning to normal in your area.

I like watching baseball, especially when the weather is nice outside.  I am part of a group that has season tickets for the Diamondbacks games so we will be picking our games soon.

That sounds great Brian England  (The D-Backs). We have a collegiate league here that really brings in a good crowd. It's really a good family time.

Hey Buzz Mackintosh I tried the AR league but it was just to much work for me.  I do look forward to hearing the crack of the bat of our semi-pro league and the ping of the aluminum bats the other leagues use.
