Ole Glory Flying Through the Bushes in Encinitas CA

It may have been a June gloom day, but the flag waving through the trees would have been a fine sight

That was a June gloom day in Encinitas.  I am looking for flags in my area for the June challenge and finding a flag is truly challenging. I saw one out of the corner of my eye flying in front of a building set back from the street. I pulled over and backed my car up so I could get a photo. Yours was a lucky find.

The U.S. flag seems to grab attention in every place she flies Jeff, whether unfurling, gently waving or simply hanging. It is a symbol that always grabs the patriotic part of me!

Hi Jeff- I agree with you and think many of us are "tuned in" to looking out for Ole Glory with the June Challenge. I had a similar experience this morning while out walking at the Preserve. I wanted to get Ole Glory and the Texas state flag, which I did but it was a cloudy morning. Not as bright as I would have liked.

Hello Jeff Dowler, CRS .  As Endre Barath, Jr. states.  It is not always the pic but the moment it portrays for us.  Being more cognizant of it.  Enjoying it more.  I have heard many speak of being more cognizant of 'Ole Glory' flying.  Kudos.  Do remember to post a link in comment section of AR Challenge 'Ole Glory Coast to Coast.  Mark

Hi Jeff Dowler, CRS - I hope everything went well for your wife at the doctor's office. 

Sometimes all we have to do when waiting for someone is to look up. Seeing that flag was an admiration for respect and I'll bet it made you smile. I like how the greenery created a natural picture frame. Great capture!

I think when we start to look for something, we see much more of it as we are more aware.

Top of Mind Awareness is a good thing when that awareness is about Old Glory.
