Remoulade Sauce (Great with Crab Cakes)
Again, on the healthy journey, trying new ways to eat delicious food but, without the calories. Recently, I’ve been in search of a low calorie sauce for seafood as I am tired of using crushed tomatoes with spices or smashed avocado as a dipping sauce! So, I have been substituting Greek Yogurt for sour cream and mayonnaise a lot lately - and with great success. This may just be my favorite remoulade - even better than the butter/fat-filled sauce.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 2T dijon mustard
- 2 t your favorite cajun seasoning
- 1 t smoked paprika
- 1 t horseradish
- 2 T chopped dill pickle
- 1-½ t minced garlic
- 2-3 t fresh squeezed lemon juice
- Dash of cayenne pepper
- Salt & Pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS:
Combine all ingredients and enjoy!
