Spouse's Day on January 26 is a time to enjoy and appreciate one's better half. You can use this as a practice or warm up event leading up to Valentine's Day on February 14th.
Rather than gift-giving Spouse's Day is a time to show one's sweetheart how much he or she is cared for and appreciated. Look deep into that sweetheart's eyes and whisper, "I love you," or "Being with you makes me happy every day." Consider thanking him or her for doing household chores or tasks.
Over the long years of a relationship, its easy to take for granted the many things your spouse does. While right now he or she is always there-that won't always be true.
Take today to notice and to say thanks. As for the "mutual enjoyment" part of the day... that's something for the two of you to agree on. Perhaps start with a foot rub?
