Or should that be, Ever begin? I just wanted to weigh in on this one. Why would the State Highway Department ever begin construction on such a major project without having purchased all of the land needed for the highway expansion? Could it be the way funds for such projects are allotted?
The completion of the expansion, to 6-lanes, of Wilson Dam Road is such a vital part of the growth of all of the communities through which this road passes. The completion of this project will relieve the traffic congestion on Woodward Ave all the way across the Tennessee River into Florence.
This must be completed in order to keep new businesses interested in coming to the area.
But I ask again, Why are we in this situation in the first place?
