Optimism is the Key to Success

By

I just wanted to send a quick word of encouragement out to all of you homeowners trying to sell in a tough market.  I know that sometimes the home doesn't sell as quickly as you may have hoped, but don't get discouraged!

For every property that is for sale, the perfect buyer is out there somewhere. Your perfect buyer is out there too - perhaps they just haven't yet had the opportunity to see your beautiful home!

A wise man once said, "I can't change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination." I find this to be excellent advice. Take some time to view your home as a buyer might, and then make any changes you think might be beneficial to improve the desirability and value. You already know that you have a wonderful home - let's make sure that the buyers know it too!

The key to success is remaining optimistic - your house will sell; sometimes, these things just take time! So keep up that cheerful and confident demeanor, and I'm sure that we'll see results before you know it!Best of luck!

Hi Jolynna,

You may also want to add that television news is the worst thing they can watch.  They are a bunch of negative, low esteem people who love to report the bad.  Even when times were good, they reported, "How long will it last?"  DON"T listen to the news it will only discourage you.

Best of Luck to All!

What an encouraging post, Jolynna!  Sellers definitely need to be reminded that there is someone out there ready to buy their house.  It is just a waiting game until that buyer finds it.  I read on another blog yesterday a post about how the situation is what dictates whether this is the right market to sell or buy for you.  That decision is as different from buyer to buyer and seller to seller as night is from day.  Great job reminding folks to be patient.
