Green Product - Recycled Glass Countertops

This is a great product, When remodeling our home we checked out lots of surfaces. Ended up with concrete (love it) but I liked this as well.

This sounds really neat!  Is it rough or smooth?  And can you pick the colors?

I love this stuff.  I am going to use it when i remodel my kitchen.

I love the idea of "Green" marketing. This will be the next avenue.

These are beautiful!  This kind of conglomerate material has been around for quite a while and is called "terrazzo."  It's a stroke of brilliance to focus the industry on recycling those special kinds of glass that we can't normally reprocess.

When I was very young, my parents had a small coffee table that was made of this terrazzo material - wonder what they did with it!  Imagine a cool white nougat-like slab with clear bits of glass embedded in it, except for a central lengthwise wide "river" of bigger bits of glass in different blues.  It was gorgeous and I wish I had it in my house today.  It was quite the work of art.
