I love the debates on real estate business cards here in the rain. Some people thinks photos of agents with their pets are cheesy, others know some of their clients have come directly from the fact their card shows they are animal lovers. Some people say you should include a link to your blog on your card, other's say there isn't the space for more text. The debate can go on and on, and there is no definitive answer as to what a business card should look like.
BUT, have you got an online business card?
We're all getting more and more active online, for a start we're here showing off our industry knowledge on ActiveRain. And then of course a lot of us are marketing on Facebook, and there's a whole heap of us on Twitter. And what about LinkedIn? Plurk? YouTube? Seesmic? The list is pretty darn long and we're steadily working through it to make sure that we're marketing ourselves wherever we can, and having some fun along the way of course ;-)
Now wouldn't you like to show your clients you're using all these great web 2.0 tools? Of course you would. Do you want to send them a whole heap of clumsy URLs to all your different profiles on the web. No you don't. But there's never been a simple way to just say 'hey look, this is everywhere you can find me online'.
UNTIL NOW!
One of the original founders of Zoomf (my UK real estate search company) has created the perfect way for you to aggregate all your online profile's into one sexy, snazzy online business card - retaggr. Sign up is free and unspeakably easy and within minutes you can have a card that looks like this...
I can do anything I like with this card, I can have it in my email sig, I can have it on my blog, I can embed it pretty much anywhere! And let's face it, it's always good to promote yourself :-D
There are so many widgets to choose from, virtually any account you have online can be integrated into the card. And the interesting thing is, Ivailo Jordanov (one of the clever clogs behind retaggr) is very interested to know what real estate agents would like to see on the card.
Would you like to be able to have your listings integrated? I'm sure you would! If you have any suggestions or comments then leave them here and I'll pass them on to him, he's keen to improve the product and help real estate professionals get the most from it.
Have fun!
