Looking for a Ride...Call a Realtor!

Jon Shibley

Leave it to Jon Shibley to stir the pot once again.

In case you don't know to whom I am referring, Jon is the founder, CEO and President of Lenox Financial. Furthermore, he is the voice behind the tagline "It's the biggest ‘no brainer' in the history of earth!"TM

I guess Jon wasn't happy enough giving mortgage professionals a bad reputation. He had to turn up the heat by attacking Realtors.

In his latest advertisement blitz, he down plays Realtors as idiotic taxi drivers. He states that you shouldn't trust them for their opinion of other mortgage professionals and to simply let the Realtors do what they do best...driving the customer to show them the homes.

Although I have known Realtors that don't have a clue...the great Realtors are worth their weight in platinum. Furthermore, their affinity partners such as myself is what makes them great.

Are you the Realtor that everyone refers to as a taxi driver? Or are you the one that will provide the customer the ride of their lives?

Thank you James for defending us realtors! I did a blog, 101 things (off the top of my head) that your realtor does. While driving people around IS one of those things, there are so many more.

We have so many hats we wear. Right now I am too tired to list them all, after all I have been driving people around all day!

As with any industry there are true professionals and there are those just in to make a buck.  I don't know that I trust advice from anyone who stereotypes an entire industry.  Usually the biggest egos are overcompensating for something.

I am a Realtor, Attorney and Lender. In my opinion his ads are, at best, very misleading. That's a no brainer.  :-)

Mark & Wendy Richards,

You are absolutely correct. There are several state attorneys that are in legal proceedings against his advertisement as false advertisement. If you dig deep enough through all the cow dung, you will even stumble on a court decision that ruled against Jon Shibley, Lenox Financial and the entire marketing hoax.

James - I am a professional.  Not a taxi driver by any stretch of the imagination.  In fact, I won't get into my car until I have had significant conversation with my potential clients.  I need to know if they are serious or just kicking tires.  I suggest that they kick tires on the net and not in my car.
