Blog postings the same subject same day

Did you ever wonder how that happens?  I once read somewhere that there are no original ideas, somewhere someone else is thinking the same thing you are, patents are often days ahead of a competitors same invention.

Yesterday in reviewing some things I realized I had written a post with the same subject matter as a fellow blogger... wow, I thought, I hope I didn't grab the information from their blog and rephrase it? I do try to be careful and somewhat original.   So as I went about reading other blogs this thought kept niggling at me, squirming around in my head, am I guilt of near plaguriziam?  OHNO, ohmy, what to do... I really worried about it.

So, I went back and re-read my post, and looked at the time, 5:somethingAM, then I went to the other blog and checked.. 11something AM, since we are in the same time zone, now I do know.. Iam ok, I didn't beg borrow or steal anyone elses work.

I guess there really are no new thoughts?  well maybe a few but I'm not a rocket surgeon so I wouldn't know.

I believe there is something to the idea of a universal consciousness -- maybe that ties into the no original thought idea. ~ Evelyn

Gail,

I don't think you would ever plagiarize someone else. I think often the news puts a thought into our head and we release it as a blog. So its easy to see how multiple people could blog about the same topic.

Gail:

That is a common occurrence! I think we all get ideas from the blogs and news that we read... Then, later on we get this "great idea" to write about that was inspired by something we read previously.

Gail,  It is funny how that happens but I've noticed that for years especially in the patents dept.  We came up with several ideas for new products and lo and behold a few months later, here they were on the market.  It is amazing. Good post Gail.  We know you would never plagiarize. Have a good week! :)

Howdy Gail

All of us know you would not plagiarize anyone. There are very few ideas folk's can come up with, that either has done their own thing with or someone will endup doing theirs with it.

Gail, you must have put this energy out into the AR universe... ever since I read this yesterday I have noticed 3 new posting topics that were posted hours apart by more than one member.  I never knew you had such a well developed power of suggestion! :)

At least it seems to be a universal connection.  Nothing new under the sun?  We are all cut from the same cloth?  Yes those appear to be the likely reasons for same postings.

I think a lot of this happens because we all pretty much see the same news stories and read the same articles and get the same emails. A lot of us actually read only headlines and never even read an article and all of sudden as we're driving we have a brainstorm and voila, there's a new blog about it.

Like when they announce new FHA rules, or when a new product gets emailed to you, or, or, or ...
