I just came across this very neat product that will let every Active Rain member chat with blog visitors for FREE...

I signed up at www.meebo.com

Its quite simple:

Open an account
Copy and paste the code they give you at the end of every blog post by clicking on the html button you see while you are posting on your blog.

It would be great to see people use this and be able to interact through chat don't you think?

When I once tried the IM function, since it kept everyone advised of who else was on line, I always felt awkward if a client of mine was "ON" but I really didn't feel like stopping what I was doing to chat.

Yes indeed i believe they opened up in 2005 and are already at 80 million chat sessions per month ! While A/R works on the idea this will work just fine :)

It is a cool feature we've add to our websites, but I too have the issue of having to remember to go to their website to login. I feel if too many visitors see us "offline" all the time it may be counterproductive.

Bruno, are you always online so clients will use meeb.com? If not, is there a certain time of day you set this for and then be consistent with your status to be avaiable for them?

Well im almost always on-line so this doesn't really apply to me however, i sometimes just delete the code so the chat box doesn't appear when im on-line then i just paste it whenever i log in.
