I have two questions I need answered.
1. How exactly does the associations work and is it the same as associates?
2. When your blog is reblogged, is your info. supposed to go along with it? I found my blog with somebody elses info. with no reference to me at all. Is this right?

1. If you see someone that you would like to associate with, you "add them as an associate".
You can make groups like states, mortgage, appraisers, Realtors, whatever. This will prompt an email to them and also show up on their page
You can comment about that person also, if you like.
2. If someone wants to ad you as their associate it will show up under Associations on your profile page.
As for reblogging, if you blogged and left it open to reblog, that person should have commented before the blog and not use their own information. I would definitely report this to Active Rain.
Karen has already given you the information that you need, but as you get more posts outside Activerain, try to watermark photos and to add your info in the body of the post if you can.
