VISUALIZE... VISUALIZE THAT HERE IS A PICTURE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL ROOM YOU HAVE EVER SEEN! I have been a member of this wonderful group for a long time now, I know over a year...maybe 2 years. I have gleaned some of the best information regarding staging and the business of staging that is out there. I have sat back and admired all the you committed bloggers and quietly watched your businesses and reputation grow. I have even commented on several blogs (which was a big step for me). SO WHY HAVE I NOT BLOGGED YET? It's not that I am shy (I'm not), It's not that I am not confident (I am). It's not that I don't have great information and experiences to share also (I do). Maybe it's like all of us starting up our own staging and design businesses, as Sarah Palin would say, "Were Mavericks". And stepping out and doing something different is scary. We were all scared at first, but look how far our industry has come! I have had the best time getting to know you all, I hope you will enjoy getting to know me too! I can't wait to see if some of my favorite bloggers respond to my blog. P.S. I would attach a picture if I could but can't figure it out yet.

Julie,

Congratulations on your first post!  It can be very addicting from this point on, so prepare yourself!  I will be looking forward to reading what interesting projects you are working on and what input on the staging industry you may have.  As for the next post, I hope you will share some pic's.  I am going to help to walk you through putting in the pic's... and before you know it...you will be a pro at this!

Step 1: Click on the picture of the tree in the tool bar. Step 2: Click on the icon at the end of the Image URL bar.  This will bring you to the browse button.  Step 3: Click on the browser button and select the picture you wish to put in your post.  Press the upload button. Step 4: Select the Insert button and your picture should magically appear in your blog or comment.

Hope this helps!  Best wishes for continued success!

Hi Julie-

Great to see you finally do your first post here on the AR network.  CONGRATS!!  What I would recommend is to go to the "Getting Started" link on the main page of AR. (it's right under the channels area) This will give you many of the instructions you'll need like adding photos etc.  I know you have been her for a while, but you may still find that link to be very helpful.

Glad to see you are finally getting your feet wet in the "rain!" :-)

Hi Julie,

I've been here for over a year now and I just emailed my assistant to post a blog because I couldn't find my cheat sheet with the instructions.

We're looking forward to hearing more from you!

You all are SO supportive! Thank you for welcoming me! I am trying not to get discouraged but I still can't bold, highlight, spell check or add pictures! The Tech folks think that it must be my browser. I am reading all or your suggestions. I actually consider myself pretty tech savvy but the functions that are supposed to be on my comment box and post box just aren't there !*!* I am going to try to use a different browser.

Julie: I use Firefox when I can't get anything else to work. You can have several browsers on your computer at any time, even have several open at the same time. Good luck!

Julie - Welcome! This is a great community. Whenever I have a question, I know I can write a quick blog and ask it, and then I'll get great help from my wise and creative AR colleagues. And it's fun to have an outlet for writing, which I enjoy doing, and a topic I'm fascinated with. I'm trying to figure out how to make time to write blogs, read blogs, comment on blogs, find jobs, do jobs, and have a life all at the same time. AR is addicting, but then you may already know that ... Good luck with the pictures. It took me a while, too.

Welcome to the blogging world.  I know when I started I thought I would have nothing important to say... no one would read my blogs and I wasn't really sure what on earth I would talk about.  Now, 380 posts later.... I guess I had more to say than I thought!!  I'm sure you'll find the same thing to be true...

Julie, Congratulations and Welcome! At least you had the good sense to make your first blog post an introduction! I posted for the first time a few weeks ago and skipped right over that part I was so nervous! You've gotten a lot if good tutorials here in inserting pictures etc but if you run into problems again, there are tons of tutorials, even videos etc. explaining things like how to align pictures (once you get them in! lol). Just go to search at the top of every page and type in whatever you're looking for. Trust me...I spent days doing this. Great job! Being stagers, we're all good at visualizing so don't worry.
