Solar Hot Water

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with EcoAdvantage Real Estate

What is the "best bang for the buck" in energy upgrades?  We think it is solar hot water.  Electric or propane hot water heating can be augmented with FREE solar power, giving you big savings, with a small investment.  We turn our water heater OFF for 7 months a year, and have 80 gallons of VERY hot water every day from the sun.  The other 5 months get about a 50% boost from the sun.  All in all, electric or propane powered hot water for a family of 4 can cost $100 or or more a month.  System pay back can be in as little as 3 to 4 years.

Solar hot water installation can be done by the home owner or professional.  Visit www.EcoAdvantagePower.com for information and links to what we think are the best solar hot water units on the market.
