Today I had a call from an agent in another part of our state who had a referral in a community close to ours. I took the information needed and then began to process. I know that I do not know the area very well in fact I hardly know how to get there. I always want another deal however at who's expense? This transaction is one that I know I will not be the best at so I gave the lead to another broker in the office. She looked at it and said I don't know this area as well as this agent and proceeded to tell me that she is going to get this other agent involved.
While this is not normal (I think) it is truly what is best for the client. The client not only expects but deserves an agent that knows the community they are looking in. I am writing this to say when we look out for our clients needs first the referral line will be open when it comes time for someone needing help in our community. I feel very strongly that this is about our clients needs first!
