Silver Comet trail is 60 miles long, biking, walking, running, or skating trail. I have personally ridden only 22 miles on this trail. It starts in Smyrna Ga, and runs to the Georgia/Alabama state line. You will see some of the nicest Real Estate along the trail. Bridges and woods, birds and squirrles. It is peaceful and beautiful. Numerous people are on this trail daily. The best part is no sharing with motorcyles, cars, or trucks. You can rent bikes at The Silver Comet Depot in Mableton. Park your car and rent your bike, and start riding. I drive from Cumming, Ga to ride. We have 6 miles of trails at the Big Creek Greenway in Alpharetta Ga. However, if you want a long ride The Silver Comet Trail is it.

11/12/07: Rode 27 miles today. Fall is a beautiful time to ride the trail. I started at the Powder Springs entrance and headed towards Alabama. Rode through 3 of the bridges and over a creek. It is a wonderful ride and I should have taken some fall pictures.
6/21/07: Rode 24 miles last weekend. Getting warm.
