The following activities are going on in Pueblo West during the month of April- I will update this as often as possible!

*Free Camp for Grieving Children-Sangre de Cristo Hospice along with various grief counselors have come together to offer "Clouds to Rainbow Kid's Kamp".  It's open to children ages 6-12 who have suffered the loss of a loved one. The camp will take place at Horn Creek Ranch near Westcliffe June 1-3, 2007. Application deadline is May 1st 2007. For more information call 719-542-0032 between 8am and 5pm.

*Colorado State Parks Offers Boating Safety Classes- This class is open to adults as well as teens and includes a home study manual, 2 hours class time, and a written exam. Classes will take place at the following locations: Lake Pueblo State Park, Arkansas Headwaters Recreational Area Visitors Center, Trinidad Lake State Park, Colorado Springs Fire Dept-Station 19, and Colorado Springs Police Dept-Gold Hill division. *Pueblo Ham Club is sponsoring an ameateur radio volunteer examiner test session on April 28th form 1-3pm at the Pueblo Public Library-100 E. Abriendo. Contact Dick Zordel @ 545-1320 for more information.

*Southeastern Colorado Genealogical Society will meet Saturday April 14th at the Public Library-100 E. Abriendo. Don't have the time yet, but you can call 546-1973 for more information!

*Pueblo West Christian Singles-Meetings are as follows: April 14-Breakfast 10am-12noon at Ecumenical Church-434 Conquistador Ave Pueblo West. RSVP-Kathy @547-9787.

**Don't Forget that April 15-21 is National Volunteer Week!

*Ft Carson Info meet: Ft Carson officials will host a town meeting from 4-7 pm on Tues April 17th at the Pueblo Convention Center. The topic of discussion will be how 25,000 new troops may impact Pueblo and Pueblo West. The meeting will feature Major General Robert W. Mixon and will include a presentation on Fort Carsons regional growth cooperation plan and updated statistical/demographic information. A networking/social hour will follow.
