 Marina Beach, CA - parasailing

Who says man was not meant to fly!If you want to go fly a kite, hang glide, parasail - this is the place. You do need to have taken instructions and be certified to fly on this beach. It's also wonderful to watch the flights.   This is definitely not a swimming beach because of strong, dangerous riptids though.

Marina State Beach -Hang GlidingSunsets at Marina State Beach can be incredible. This is a basically "undiscovered " beach. No big crowds here most of the time. You can walk for miles with only the birds for company.

Eileen,  I'll leave that "flying" to others - I'll be happy ot watch the surf and sunset.  BTW, my maps are really looking better on my posts,  Karen

Hi Alisha;  No I have not done it yet. You have to take lessons and the closest place for lessons is San Francisco area about 2 hours or so away.

So Karen I'm just sitting on the beach too!  But taking photos. :)

Hi Margaret, thanks for the compliment as I love doing it. I am now working on a "Birds & Animals of the Monterey Peninsula" series.
