The Election, Real Estate and the American Melting Pot

As I sat watching the election results last night, I had an epitome. I was moved as was most Americans by the speeches on both sides. I sat frozen in my chair, proud that I voted, not to have even given a thought of all the blood that had been shed so I could sit so smug in my chair.
The camera panned on the crowds in all sections of the US that they had gathered. The faces some happy, some sad, some excited, some even angry. But they reflected America, the different ethnic groups, the different religions, the different backgrounds, ages, sex, whatever.
This suddenly jolted me that the only true Americans are the Native Americans. I know we could argue this point, but for the sake of argument they were the 1st census here. So....to my point......
What did all these people have in common? REAL ESTATE. Maslow's hierarchy of needs which has as the top tiers food and shelter. Shelter, you own a home or rent. You own land or rent and either have a shelter of some kind and call it home.
What else do they have in common? Credit! You can not meet the 2 most important tiers of the food and shelter unless you have money or credit to get what you need to survive.
THIS IS WHY REAL ESTATE MAKES THE GREAT EQUALIZER OUT OF US ALL!
All roads point to REAL ESTATE, buying, selling, renting, building everyone needs a place to live. That is why I think that REAL ESTATE is the great melting pot.
