The holiday season is once again upon us, a time of celebrations, family traditions, shopping to take care of, events to attend, parties to plan and enjoy, and a wealth of activities and memories that make the holidays special, no matter how you celebrate or what holiday is meaningful to you.
Given the diversity of folks on ActiveRain, I thought it might be fun to create a NEW GROUP where everyone who wishes can share THEIR particular traditions and celebrations up to and including New Year's Day.
Here's the link - sorry I left it out before!
No matter what holiday, nor how you celebrate - by yourself, with family or friends - feel free to share your stories and localism posts, with videos, photos, and slide shows.
- It may be as simple as watching the classics - White Christmas, Charlie Brown Christmas - or attending a musical event like The Messiah
- It might be special foods or traditions during Hanukkah (December 12), local tree lighting ceremonies, or community events to celebrate Kwanzaa (December 26), also Boxing Day.
- Articles about holiday events you attend or that folks should know about are fine too.
The door is wide open for your creativity, but let's not be too self-promotional.
Be sure to tag your post with ActiveRain Holidays. Let's see how many different celebrations and traditions are here in the Rain through the holidays.
And in you decide chat about your traditions on Twitter use the Hash tag (#) in your tweet - #HolidayTraditions
