There are a few important things that a person has to do when they move to a new part of the country. One of them is sample the local cuisine. You can get out and do that all in one place at Price's Chicken Coop in Charlotte NC. It has been a landmark near the intersection of East/West Boulevard and South Boulevard for I dont know how long. Despite not having a dining room - you take the food out and eat it wherever you can- people still keep coming back.
This is real southern food. The chicken is breaded and fried in a way the Coloniel never dreamed. If I remember correctly, I think it was featured on the food network in one of their traveling shows. You know, I cant tell if those are paid spots or if they are actually vetted by experts at the Food Network. Either way, this place is the real deal.
Price's Chicken Coop is located in Dilworth near some very desireable Charlotte NC Real Estate. It's close to South End and Myers Park.
It's important to remember this if you're not from around here. It would be a crime to leave without trying their sweet tea. It's important. Just do it for me.
