According to the Southwest Florida Real Estate Investors Association who has been tracking the number of foreclosures in Lee 
County the numbers of foreclosures have dropped in a significant way. While the number of foreclosures have been steadily rising since November of 2007 and peaked at 2665 homes in October 08 with 2665 homes they dropped significantly to 1681 in November. Pair this up with the lack of new building permits and maybe there are signals that the real estate market is going to turn the corner.
